I love doing gradient with colors and then mixing the colors. Gradient inspired me to do this project the way it is. I started with a very light blue and then go darker blue the higher I paint up the paper. I tried to do some speckle but didn’t go really as planned but I kinda liked it so I left it with that. Following the speckle, it made me get a space/galaxy vibe so it gave me an idea.
Since I love basketball, it made me think of a player up in the sky. The first player that came up was Michael Jordan. I thought about it and I made him look like he was soaring up in the sky like he were to dunk. Then I added a little skyline of buildings in the back. I traced Michael and then I did a gradient to mix the original colors on the paper.
I did a gradient on head and shoulders to the ball he is gripping. On the blue side of his body the colors mix with a grayish blue. On the gray side of his body the colors mix with the blue part of the paper. I felt like I did a very good job on the painting and loved how it turned out.

Since I was doing watercolor I decided to do something simple since watercolor is not my strong suit. I feel like I did a good job on this project. My inspiration for this is my passion for shoes. Paul George is one of my favorites in the league and plays on my favorite team. I like his shoe especially his PlayStation series. He has like 4 different types of colorways for that specific shoe. Since I like gray on shoes I decided to do his gray version. I tried to draw a court floor with a free throw line look. As if it was George shooting a free throw. So at the end of it all, I feel like this was a good project well done.
This was by far my favorite project. I don't know why but I just liked how it ended up looking and it kinda makes a picture of who I am as it relates to basketball. I made it a blue sky and backboard as if it were to be see-through. Every time I play basketball, this is what I see and I enjoyed putting it on a canvas.
I will say I liked the way this project turned out. I thought it was successful due to the way it looked at the end. I felt like I could've done more to this project before it was all said and done. From my point of view, it kinda looks like a camera, or looking out of a camera lol.
